Guest Ratings & Reviews
My stay at this hotel was quite disappointing. The rooms were tiny, devoid of any accessories in the toilet except for one small towel and heavily stinking of cigarette smoke. They also appeared old and filled with a noxious gas that made it feel like staying in a septic tank. On the upside, the location is awesome, being very close to New Market, which is a shopping paradise for all kinds of travelers. Unfortunately, it felt overcrowded, much like a fish market, due to the high number of guests.
The hotel offers spacious and comfortable rooms, though some furnishings show signs of wear. The organization of the room lacks essentials like dental and shaving kits, and cleanliness needs improvement with mold present. However, the hotel does respond to occasional needs like ironing and room service but lacks efficiency and professionalism, appearing cold at times. The superb location in a vibrant shopping area is a major highlight, though surprised by the absence of Bengali sweets at breakfast. Dining options are average and would benefit from improvement, ranging from basic to lavish with lukewarm and unappetizing offerings. Some facilities provided, but room for enhancement.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms, while clean, spacious, and comfortable after being moved to the 3rd floor room no 308 following several complaints, were a bit outdated and in need of renovation. The service had its ups and downs, with some staff members not being friendly, but others like Rupa and her friend from the coffee shop being exceptional. The location was convenient for accessing business areas and the New Market, although it was slightly noisy due to traffic. The dining options were excellent, especially the Bengali restaurant, and the facilities were satisfactory.
The hotel rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, perfect for our short vacation. They provided a fantastic city view from the non-smoking room, albeit next to renovation works on the 6th floor. The service was nice and cordial, with helpful staff offering luggage weighing and internet access/print outs. The location was bustling like a fish market with a wide range of shopping and dining options nearby, perfectly situated in the center of Kolkata. The dining experience was very good, especially with Kolkata's special masala omelette. Overall, a great stay with a mix of positives and negatives.
The hotel has spacious and well-maintained rooms with all amenities; however, the WiFi could be better, and including breakfast in the price would have been great. The view from the rooms is disappointing, overlooking broken houses.
I had a pleasant stay at the hotel with nice rooms and friendly staff, but the dining options were limited. The location was convenient in the heart of Kolkata, making it a decent choice for those wanting to explore the city.
The hotel is centrally located, making it suitable for various types of travelers, but the street views can be noisy. The rooms, while cozy for two, had a musty smell possibly due to old carpets. Service had some communication issues and mixed attitudes. The dining options were generally good, although with some room for improvement.
The hotel has superb rooms but could have been better for the money charged. The service is friendly and helpful, though some staff members seem to prioritize tips. The location is at the heart of New Market, making it convenient for exploring the city. The dining experience is decent, especially for lunch and dinner. The facilities are good overall.
